4 Vitamins for Beautiful Skin
4 Vitamins That’ll Give You Beautiful Skin
Vitamins, oh vitamins: one of the holy-grail wellness prescriptions, right up there next to eight hours of sleep and daily exercise. Sure, we know they’re are good for our overall health, but we’d be lying not to admit that we’re also really into their beautifying powers. So even though we’re careful to eat a balanced diet, we definitely make sure that our skincare products are stocked full of the good stuff. Been hearing about these mythical ingredients for a while now but still not clear on exactly what they do or why to use them? Read on as we break it down to the essentials–four key vitamins that will not only help you feel healthy, but also look your very best.Vitamin A
What It Does: Vitamin A is proven to reduce wrinkles, fade brown spots, and smooth roughness.Where to Find It: Vitamin A derivatives are known as retinoids and present in many beauty products. You can usually find Vitamin A in lotions, night creams and prescription products.
How to Use It: It’s best to apply your retinoid at night, as they can make your skin more sensitive to sun. Retinoids can be very powerful, so avoid irritation by applying every second or third night initially and build up to nightly use.
Vitamin B
What It Does: Vitamin B (specifically Vitamin B3) boosts hydration, reduces redness and inhibits the transfer of pigment to skin cells, therefore minimizing dark spots. It is specifically beneficial for people with dry or sensitive skin, and some studies support its benefits for reducing rosacea.Where to Find It: Often called niacinamide, Vitamin B3 can be found in lotions, creams, and serums.
How to Use It: For maximum results, apply B vitamins in the morning and evening. It’s also great to apply both Vitamin A (retinoid) and Vitamin B (niacinamide) simultaneously, as Vitamin B could calm possible irritation from retinoids, and the combination is said to provide even greater anti-aging benefits.
Vitamin C
What It Does: Similar to Vitamin A, Vitamin C helps smooth and firm skin and fade brown spots by inhibiting the free radicals that trigger wrinkling, sagging, and other aging changes.Where to Find It: Moisturizers and serums.
How to Use It: Apply Vitamin C in the morning, before sunscreen, to protect your skin from free radicals caused by sun damage.
Vitamin E
What It Does: With bounds of studies singing its praise, Vitamin E is a skincare superstar. The vitamin has been proven to ease dryness and boosts skin’s UV defense.Where to Find It: Sunscreens and after-sun products.
How to Use It: Vitamin E is a natural armor against UV radiation, so apply the product before and after sun exposure. Also consider applying Vitamin C and E simultaneously, as the duo provides greater protection against free radicals when used together.
Now that you’re well versed in the essential vitamins, here are a few of our favorite infused products to try. Most are packed with multiple vitamins, because we’re all for a simplified routine.

Makeup Brush Guide
The Ultimate Guide to Face Makeup Brush
Tapered Foundation Brush : Flexible bristles and gently tapered
edges make this brush perfect for applying and blending liquid and
cream foundations. Start in the areas of the face need the most coverage
and use downward strokes for the smoothest, most natural application.
Rounded Foundation Brush: The densely packed bristles pick up and distribute product evenly. The round, domed shape allow the bristles to blend as they brush. The result is a streak-free, flawless finish for any liquid, cream or powder foundation.
Flat Concealer Brush: The flat rounded tip makes blending around the contours of the face a breeze. Use one side to apply concealer to under-eye circles, then flip it over and use the clean side to blend.
Precision Concealer Brush: This concealer brush is smaller and comes to a point allowing for more precise application. Use it to conceal blemishes and littler imperfections and to clean up the lines after applying a bold lip color.
Powder Brush: Loosely packed bristles make for one big, fluffy brush with a rounded shape. Use it with loose or pressed powders, just tap off the excess before using sweeping motions to brush it across the face.
Blush Brush: A more compact powder brush that can be used to apply cheek color. Smile to locate the apples of the cheek, and use short strokes to dust powder out toward the hairline.

Best Beauty Trends of 2014
1) Lined in White
It’s not often that a runway trend works in everyone’s favor, but this is definitely one of them. White eyeliner was seen everywhere from Kenzo to Tibi, and the graphic lines were bold, fresh and so perfect for spring. If you’re a newbie, try lining your bottom waterline with white liner to ease into this look – it’ll make your eyes look brighter and wider.2. Moon Shine
Half-moon manicures are the new French – and we’re totally okay with it. Feel free to stray from the traditional nude and white color combo and experiment with metallics, pastels and even textures. We’re so enraptured by this look, we may just be planning a tutorial in the next few weeks.3. Dream On
This spring, we’re predicting that eyelids everywhere will be swathed in the softest, prettiest garden hues. Sheer eyeshadow shades like lilac, baby blue and sage green were seen all over runways like Miu Miu and Marc Jacobs, and we’re swooning with the dreaminess of it all. Stay away from harsh lines and diffuse with a blending brush for a sheer, subtle wash of color.4. Bare-Faced Beauty
The prettiest phrase in our beauty vocab? Au naturel. As much as we obsess over bright colors here at MDC headquarters, we’re staunch believers in rocking the “no makeup” makeup look too – and the designers agreed. Heavy makeup was swapped for dewy luminizers, rose-hued lip balms and soft, smoky shadows at Alexander Wang and Chloé – tres chic!5. Get Lippy
Orange, red, purple, pink…in 2014, bolder is better when it comes to your pout. Don’t be scared to go out of your comfort zone – why not try a punchy ombré lip or pretty tangerine shade? Start with a balm if this is new territory for you, and venture out from there with silky lipsticks or matte pencils. We’ll be sharing our favorite orange lip colors later this month, so stay tuned…Pinned from : Visit makeup.com
